Reports suggest Neves is “very close” to leaving Benfica, with a preference for playing with PSG rather than United. The Red Devils have seemingly conceded defeat in their pursuit.
Paris Saint-Germain’s manager, Luis Enrique, played a significant role in swaying Neves towards the French club. PSG has proposed a deal worth £59 million, including add-ons. Benfica, recognizing that this amount falls short of Neves’ £101 million release clause, is seeking to enhance the terms of the offer.
United’s chances of acquiring the talented midfielder are now diminishing. Neves would have been a valuable addition to their squad, given his potential and skills at a young age.
