Mason Greenwood is reportedly going to be used in a trade by Manchester United in order to get an excellent Benfica Wonderkid who is valued at £100 million and might be a potential partner for Kobbie Mainoo when the summer arrives. Can’t believe that 89% of the Manchester United Fans are in support of this 😳🙀🤯

The 19-year-old Portuguese defensive midfielder has showcased remarkable maturity and skill on the field, earning him a place in the squad set for Euro 2024.

Benfica is keen to retain their young midfielder for at least one more season. However, if they decide to part ways with him this summer, reports suggest they would demand a fee of up to £100 million.

Initially, acquiring Neves appeared unrealistic, especially with Ratcliffe asserting that Manchester United would not be “held to ransom” in this transfer window.

Nonetheless, MEN Sport has learned that United might possess an unexpected leverage.

The Portuguese club is among six teams interested in signing Mason Greenwood this summer. United plans to sell Greenwood after he spent the last season on loan at Getafe.

With both clubs aiming to make a deal, United has reportedly set Greenwood’s value at £40 million.

In theory, United could significantly reduce Neves’ asking price by including Greenwood in the negotiation.

Thus, securing the talented midfielder for £60 million appears quite reasonable, especially with Ineos searching for cost-effective deals this summer.
