Manchester United in advanced discussions to recruit Dutch duo and set to push on PSG star It’s a done π€π―β π
Manchester United are actively negotiating the potential signings of Dutch players Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee, as well as targeting Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
Sources close to United’s transfer activities report that talks are progressing for Zirkzee, who has a Β£34 million release clause. The 23-year-old is also being pursued by Arsenal and AC Milan, with Milan currently seen as the leading contender. However, United is determined to bolster their attack this summer and has identified Zirkzee as a key target, especially since Milan’s negotiations have stalled over agent fees.
In defense, United is considering Matthijs de Ligt, with the former Ajax defender open to a move to Old Trafford. Additionally, some sources suggest that United may revisit their interest in Everton’s young defender Jarrad Branthwaite, although his high valuation remains a hurdle. Everton is resolute in keeping Branthwaite, but United believes the price must drop for a deal to be feasible.
Another potential signing for United is PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte, who has struggled to secure a regular starting position under Luis Enrique since joining last summer. Although no formal offer has been made to PSG yet, one is expected soon, with Ugarte reportedly open to a move to the Premier League. Erik ten Hag sees Ugarte as a valuable addition, particularly given concerns over Casemiro’s midfield performance.
