Former Chelsea and England captain John Terry has slammed the BBC over their on-air joke about Cristiano Ronaldo’s penalty miss at Euro 2024

John Terry has criticized the BBC for making a joke on air about Cristiano Ronaldo missing a chance at Euro 2024. Terry used to lead both Chelsea and England.

Ronaldo was crying after Jan Oblak saved his penalty kick in the first half of extra time in Portugal’s last-16 match against Slovenia on Monday night.

During the halftime break, the 39-year-old was crying with his Portugal teammates. Diogo Dalot tried to comfort him as he walked back onto the field for the second half of extra time.

The BBC called Ronaldo’s missed penalty kick “Missiano Penaldo” when they talked about it.

Terry didn’t like that choice, so he called the comment a “disgrace.”

The former captain of England and Chelsea shared a picture of the text with the message “BBC this is a disgrace!” on his Instagram story.
