Manchester United is reportedly eyeing a potential transfer for Bayer Leverkusen standout Victor Boniface. The Nigerian international has shown remarkable performance over the past year, ending as the joint top-scorer in the UEFA Europa League last season, which facilitated his move to Bayer Leverkusen.

Since his arrival at Leverkusen this summer, Boniface has maintained his stellar form, playing a crucial role in Xabi Alonso’s squad’s surprising title contention. The 22-year-old was recently named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for November, triumphing over Merlin Röhl and Xavi Simons. Impressively, this is the fourth month in a row he has received this accolade.

Discussing Manchester United’s transfer prospects following the INEOS Group’s acquisition of a 25 percent stake in the club, Craig Burley proposed Boniface as a viable option. “They need someone to alleviate the pressure on Rasmus Hojlund because Martial isn’t contributing. I’m not sure if they’re considering someone like Boniface from Leverkusen. But we’re looking at a summer transfer,” Burley mentioned on ESPN FC Extra Time.

Manchester United brought in Rasmus Højlund this summer, yet the former Atalanta forward has had difficulty finding his rhythm. In contrast, Boniface is already attracting attention for a potential move away from Bayer Leverkusen. If his goal-scoring spree continues, a transfer might be imminent.

Boniface has made a significant impact at Leverkusen, recording 20 goal involvements—14 goals and 6 assists—in 20 games this season.
