Former Manchester United Captain and Journalist Gary Neville has been appointed as the manager of Shocking European Club this evening

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has secured a new position inside the Labour Party ahead of next month’s general election.

Neville is most known for his work as a commentator on Sky Sports after retiring from professional football, and he is presently presenting on ITV as part of their coverage of Euro 2024 in Germany. However, the ex-United Statesman has not backed away from politics.

During the Qatar World Cup, Neville criticized both the host country and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for low wages and terrible working conditions. The Conservative Party leader responded to the former United player by advising he’stick to football’, a phrase that inspired the name of his podcast, which he co-hosts with Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright, and Jill Scott.

It is Neville’s latest endeavor outside from football, since he is now in Germany as an ITV commentator for Euro 2024. However, he did not appear on our televisions on Wednesday, as Danny Rohl, Karen Carney, and Ian Wright were in charge of the enthralling Albania v Croatia encounter. Soon after the game, the Labour Party announced a collaboration with the former United and England defender, who had featured on Dragons Den earlier this year.

Neville has previously supported Labour by attending their linked events, but for the first time, it appears he will appear on a party political show on Wednesday evening. In a tweet, the Labour Party announced that Neville will appear with their leader, Sir Keir Starmer.

In what looks to be a similar approach to the video he generates with professional sportsmen, Neville will question Starmer about his chances of becoming Prime Minister after July 4, as well as the road the Labour leader has taken to get there.

Due to the Euro 2024 Group A match between Germany and Hungary, the interview will run on ITV at 6:25pm and BBC One an hour later at 7:25pm.
