Manchester United FLOP Striker Antony Martial has signed a contract with shocking European Club after leave Man United this summer
Reports that his client is “financially hungry” have been attacked by Anthony Martial’s agent as “not true”.
Martial bid goodbye to supporters during the last Premier League game; his contract at United formally ends at the end of the month.
After failing to get a fee for Martial during the January transfer window, United always intended to release him this summer; he leaves after nine years in Manchester.
Martial joined United from Monaco as a youthful player and made a great first impression by scoring against Liverpool on his debut, but he fell short of his promise.
Injuries dogged the Frenchman’s stay at the club; he only started seven times last season and played little over 600 minutes overall.
After leaving United, Martial might go back to his own country; Lyon and Marseille are showing interest as well as teams in Saudi Arabia and the United States.
Speaking with Sky Sports News on Tuesday, player agent Philippe Lamboley maintained his future action will be motivated by sports desire rather than financial considerations.
“Anthony is on holidays. We are examining the several projects that have come forth for him. Lamboley added, “We will take some time to decide on the following actions.”
“He has been training generally for two months and will require time to be fit and ready for his new club. He is 28, and I have heard claims he will be very avaricious with clubs.
“This isn’t accurate. Anthony wants a big project to reach great club targets and rejoin the France squad. He will select his team based on family and sports goals.
“For any professional athlete, the funds are vital but they are not his top concern.”
Martial posted on social media after he declared his leaving from United: “Dear Manchester United supporters. I wrote to you now to bid farewell with tremendous feeling. Nine amazing years with the club have come to pass, and now is the moment to start a fresh chapter in my career.
“I have had great honor wearing this shirt and playing in front of you, the finest supporters in the world since I joined in 2015! Through the good times and the challenging ones, you have been an unflinching support. I have always found great inspiration in your loyalty and enthusiasm.
“I would want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for me. I shall always carry memories of your songs, your support, and your love of the club etched in my heart.
“I would also want to thank all of my team-mates, technical staff, and every club member I have come across throughout my nine years here. It makes me glad to have been able to share with you these encounters.
“Manchester United will always hold great emotional value. This team has changed my career and presented a fantastic chance for me to perform before you. I’m departing to tackle fresh challenges; I’ll always be a Red Devil and I’ll keep passionately following the club’s performance.
“See you soon; thank you one again for everything. With all my lovingness, Anthony Martial.
Martial appeared 317 times for United and scored 90 goals.
