“Me and my Fiance has fimally concluded on what to do next. It was a hard decision but we have to do it. I will start training with them soon”-Greenwood finally breaks silence as he made his final decisions on playing for Manchester United which shocked the fans who couldn’t believe their eyes.

Mason Greenwood, the forward for Manchester United, is reportedly set for a significant transfer from Old Trafford this summer. At 22, Greenwood is anticipated to rejoin Manchester United shortly after a successful loan spell at Getafe, a Spanish club where he impressed by scoring eight goals and providing six assists in La Liga. His remarkable performance earned him the club’s Player of the Year award.

Greenwood has not appeared for Manchester United since January 2022, following his arrest on charges of attempted rape, controlling behavior, and assault—charges that were subsequently dropped. The player has consistently denied all allegations against him.

Despite Manchester United recently confirming that Greenwood remains on their roster, it is highly likely that his career will continue elsewhere. Several top European clubs, including Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Borussia Dortmund, have shown interest in Greenwood. Additionally, two unnamed Premier League clubs are reportedly keen on signing him. However, the latest reports suggest that Greenwood is set to join an Italian club instead.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by The Metro, Greenwood has agreed to a proposed move to Juventus, a leading club in Serie A. Manchester United is reportedly willing to sell Greenwood and has set an asking price between €35-40 million (£30-34 million) for this summer. Juventus is hopeful of negotiating a lower fee and is considering various strategies to secure the deal. One potential option could involve a player swap, with Samuel Iling-Junior or Federico Chiesa possibly being offered in exchange for Greenwood, who is in the final year of his contract with United.

Greenwood has been relatively quiet about his future plans, although he did express his gratitude to Getafe in a rare public statement after his loan spell ended. On Instagram, he posted, “Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my teammates and the club. A bittersweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you. I wish you all the best.”

Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe commented in April that no definitive decision had been made regarding Greenwood’s future at the club. Ratcliffe had previously suggested there might be a possibility for Greenwood to return, despite potential backlash from fans. He stated, “We will make a decision, correct. All I can do is talk about the principle of how we will approach decisions like that. Is he the right type of footballer? Are we happy with if he is a good person or not? He’s a Manchester United footballer, so we are in charge of football. So the answer is, ‘Yeah, we have to make decisions.’ It’s quite clear we have to make a decision.”

Ratcliffe emphasized that while Greenwood’s situation is important, it is not the only one the club needs to address. “There is no decision that’s been made. He’s on loan obviously, but he’s not the only one. We’ve got one or two footballers that we have to deal with and we have to make a decision on, so we will do that,” he added.

As events unfold, it becomes increasingly clear that Greenwood’s career is likely to continue away from Manchester United, with Juventus emerging as a leading candidate for his signature. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining the final outcome of this transfer saga.
