Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as the manager of this shocking Premier League Club

Apparently in negotiations with a Premier League team, former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is preparing his comeback to management.

Since leaving Old Trafford in November 2021, Solskjaer has not coached a club; he has turned down several positions with national teams and clubs.

Though he almost lost out the Besiktas job earlier in the week, the Norwegian seems to be wanting to go back to the dugout.

Earlier in the year, Solskjaer stated that he would think about one more job and that possibility might have presented itself when freshly promoted Leicester City approached the 51-year-old, the Sun said.

After Enzo Maresca hopped ship to become Chelsea’s new head coach, the Foxes are searching for a new manager after guiding Leicester back to the top flight at the first time of asking.

Leicester chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha reportedly greatly values Solskjaer, and last summer, he was under interview for the position when Dean Smith left.

Although there are no official reports of any serious negotiations, the Norwegian is likely to be on the Maresca replacement shortlist.
Originally covering for Jose Mourinho as carer at United in December 2018, Solskjaer took control.

Originally doing exceptionally well at Old Trafford, the Norwegian signed a full-time deal before leading his old side to third and second-place finishes in his two full seasons at the club.

But after supervising five losses in seven Premier League games, he was let go following a 4-1 loss to Watford.

He has been technical observer for UEFA since September last year.

While Steve Cooper is allegedly another possibility under discussion, Leicester has apparently contacted former Chelsea coach Graham Potter about their manager post.
