For five years, Enzo Maresca will play for Chelsea, and they can add a sixth year if they want to. His arrival should be official by the end of the week.

Maresca is likely to bring at least six employees from Leicester with him. One of them is Willy Caballero, a former Blues goalie who worked as Maresca’s assistant manager last season.
Danny Walker and Roberto Vitiello, Michele de Bernardin, Marcos Alvarez, and Javier Molina Caballero, who is the first-team expert, will also be with him in west London.
When Maresca was in charge of the first team at the King Power Stadium, it was his second job as a manager after a bad time at Parma in Serie B. Before this job, the 44-year-old worked at Manchester City, where Pep Guardiola praised him as a “amazing boss.”
Between 2022 and 2023, Maresca was one of Guardiola’s assistant managers. But it was his work with the club’s young team that earned him the most respect; Guardiola even compared him to Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal.
Maresca became the boss of City’s Elite Development Squad in August 2020. That year, Maresca led the club’s Under-23 team to victory in the Premier League 2.
