Fans are stunned by the news that was reported by Fabrizio Romano that Manchester United is finally set to make a massive new deal with Mason Greenwood Finally, they have assured us that he is coming back home 😍😳🙀

Mason Greenwood has provided an update for Getafe fans as his loan spell with the Spanish team concludes.

Greenwood thanked Getafe supporters, expressing appreciation as his loan period ends. Speculation about his future has been rampant, with potential moves to clubs in Italy and Spain, or a return to Manchester United for the next season.

Greenwood has not played for Manchester United since his arrest in January 2022 on charges of attempted rape, controlling behavior, and assault. He has always denied these allegations, and all charges were subsequently dropped.

The forward has reportedly attracted interest from clubs such as Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus, as well as two Premier League teams. Getafe, where he spent this season on loan, had hoped to keep him.

However, Greenwood seems to have ruled out staying with the La Liga club, as suggested by his farewell message on Instagram.

He wrote, “Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own.

I enjoyed every second, alongside my teammates and club. A bittersweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you. I wish you all the best.”

During his loan at Getafe, Greenwood appeared in 36 matches and scored ten goals. His final game for the club was a 2-1 defeat against Mallorca.

Getafe’s sporting director, Torres, spoke about Greenwood’s situation, stating, “Regarding Manchester United, from what we heard last week, if a good offer comes along, they would want to sell because he is not going to go back there.

We’ll have to wait until the end of June. The people and the coach are very happy with him. I think he will remain with us for another season, or at least until January. He is a good footballer.”
