“Sacking Ten Hag Would Be a Huge Mistake He has matched Mourinho” – Neville Urges Man Utd to Keep Manager** Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has advised the club’s owners that Erik ten Hag deserves to remain as manager amid rumors of his potential dismissal this summer. Neville believes Ten Hag has ‘earned the right’ to keep his position, comparing his achievements to those of Mourinho.

Gary Neville asserts that Erik ten Hag has matched Jose Mourinho’s achievements as the most successful Manchester United manager since Sir Alex Ferguson.

The club’s owners are currently contemplating whether to dismiss Ten Hag or allow him more time to enhance the team’s performance following their FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City.

“There’s no denying that Ten Hag’s FA Cup win has placed Manchester United in a challenging situation. This Premier League season has been disappointingly poor for the club,” Neville said on The Overlap.

“Ten Hag will argue that his squad, particularly the defense, has lacked consistency. Nevertheless, the team’s inability to control many games is troubling.

“Despite this, he has secured two trophies in two years, demonstrating his ability to win titles with this team. He has equaled Jose Mourinho’s success at United after Ferguson’s era. I believe he should be given the opportunity to continue.

“However, there’s no one available who could instantly take this United squad to a higher level. Even with Guardiola at the helm, this United team wouldn’t win the Premier League.”
