In March, Corriere dello Sport reported Manchester United’s strong interest in the striker, who has a €40 million release clause that was initially applicable only to his former club, Bayern Munich.

In April, La Gazzetta Dello Sport revealed that Bologna would require a fee of £73 million from Manchester United for Zirkzee, referencing the similar amount paid for Hojlund the previous year.

However, the latest edition of the Milan-based publication provided some conflicting and intriguing updates.

Gazzetta Dello Sport now reports that the 23-year-old striker has a €40 million release clause that is available to all clubs. This clause will be active from July 1st to July 15th.

While Bologna is keen to keep Zirkzee, there is substantial interest from Italian clubs Milan and Juventus, as well as Premier League teams like Manchester United and Arsenal, who have the financial power to make a move.
