Coming live from stike90mins : Jadon Sancho is coming back to Manchester United now that Ten Hag is gone. Jadon Sancho, in a recent interview with strike90mins, spoke on the reasons why he left and why he is coming back: “I’ve always loved Manchester United. It was my boyhood club, and I love it there. The only thing that took me out of the club is now gone, so I would come back.” He also spoke about what transpired between him and Ten Hag. He said… 😱🙀🤯🤯

Jadon Sancho still has a potential route back to Manchester United, but it hinges on a critical condition. Meanwhile, his current loan spell at Borussia Dortmund might boost his prospects of joining Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the upcoming European Championships.

Sancho’s journey with Manchester United began in the summer of 2021, when he was signed for £73 million from Borussia Dortmund after a lengthy pursuit by then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Sancho’s impressive record at Dortmund—scoring 50 goals and providing 60 assists in 137 appearances—justified the hefty investment, making him one of United’s top five most expensive signings.

However, Sancho struggled to adapt to the Premier League. His performance rarely matched his Bundesliga success, and things worsened under Erik ten Hag’s management, leading to a downturn in his career.

In Ten Hag’s first season, Sancho struggled for consistent playing time. Matters came to a head in September with a public fallout between the two, where Sancho accused Ten Hag of scapegoating and dishonesty regarding his exclusion from the squad for a match against Arsenal. This led to Manchester United loaning Sancho back to Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.

Despite initial rustiness, Sancho quickly readjusted at Dortmund, providing two assists in his first two matches. His return has been well-received by his teammates, though Dortmund has indicated a permanent move is unlikely this summer.

Sancho is expected to return to Old Trafford for pre-season training in July, unless Manchester United arranges a permanent transfer for him. With Ten Hag’s future at United uncertain, former United forward Dimitar Berbatov suggests that Sancho might find a way back into the team—if Ten Hag is no longer the manager.

Berbatov acknowledges Sancho’s promising start back at Dortmund and believes a strong finish to the season could boost his chances with the England national team. “Jadon Sancho came on for Dortmund and got an assist, which is a great way to return to his old club,” Berbatov told Betfair. “Football is unpredictable. Success in one league doesn’t always translate to another, especially the Premier League. Returning to Dortmund is beneficial for Sancho as he’s back in a familiar environment with supportive teammates.”

Berbatov added, “If Sancho can regain his form, it would be fantastic. However, I don’t see him playing for Manchester United again under Ten Hag. His chances at United depend on a managerial change. A strong performance at Dortmund should put him in contention for a spot in Euro 2024.”

Sancho’s return to United as a regular player requires several favorable developments, but football is unpredictable, especially with the ever-changing nature of managerial tenures and the high demands for success.
