After Manchester City lost the FA Cup final to Manchester United 2-1, fans of the team went after two of their own players on social media.

City was the favorite to beat the same team they beat in last year’s final and win their second straight FA Cup.

Erik ten Hag’s team, on the other hand, messed up the plan right away. A long ball caused chaos in City’s defense, and Alejandro Garnacho ran in to tap the ball over the line.

Then Kobbie Mainoo made it 2-0 by finishing off a great team move from close range. This gave United the lead going into halftime.

Then, in the second half, goalkeeper Andre Onana made a string of important stops. Erling Haaland also came close, but his shot hit the bar.

Jeremy Doku scored late to give City hope, but United held on to win the game and the season.

Unfortunately, Haaland couldn’t find the back of the net today. Kevin De Bruyne was also taken off after 56 minutes because he was having a bad day at Wembley.

And City fans said bad things about both players online.

Someone wrote, “De Bruyne was terrible and probably still slightly hurt.”

“Martinez winning headers against Haaland feels poor to say the least,” said a third.

“They said De Bruyne is better than Kroos and Modric,” said a fourth.

However, City still won their fourth straight Premier League title, even though the loss at Wembley will make it harder for Pep Guardiola and his team to end the season in the best way possible.

There will still be doubts about Erik ten Hag’s future as manager of United and the Dutchman, but his great defensive style and performance at Wembley have done nothing but help those chances.
