After United beat Newcastle on Wednesday night, Fernandes talked about how tough their season has been and how determined he is to beat Manchester City in this month’s FA Cup final.
The job is clearly not done yet. “The FA Cup final is the biggest game of the season, and we still have one game in the Premier League,” he told Sky Sports.
“This season has been hard.” We all know that because the table shows it. All season, the people have been great and been behind us. Everyone here is grateful for what they’ve done for us.
“We want to change and do better, and the fans deserve that.”

Fernandes was about to finish his sentence when Erik ten Hag pulled him away from the talk so he could do the lap of honor with the team.
