Josko Gvardiol reveals what really happened with Man City penalty debacle as defender misses out on Premier League history

Josko Gvardiol explains what really happened with the Man City penalty mess, but the defender missed out on making Premier League history.

Josko Gvardiol, a star player for Manchester City, explained why he didn’t take the penalty against Fulham even though he had already scored two goals.

City is getting close to winning their fourth straight Premier League title, and Gvardiol has been hitting goals like crazy.

The defender has scored five goals in his last seven games, two of which helped City beat Fulham 4-0 and go back to the top of the Premier League.

But when he had the chance to score a third goal from the penalty spot, the former RB Leipzig player gave the ball to Julian Alvarez, who takes penalties for the team more often.

And that was true even though Gvardiol was only one successful penalty kick away from making Premier League history. Since the league began, no defense has ever scored a hat-trick.

He told TNT Sport about what happened, “Another two goals, I’m happy.” A clean sheet, of course. We talked about me getting the punishment.

“Of course I want to take it, but we know who the taker is, and he does.” Julian scored the goal in the end, and I’m glad he did.

About how persistent he has been in front of goal lately, Gvardiol said, “No, it’s normal.” It happens a lot in sports.

“Right now I’m in good shape, and the season is almost over.” Still three more finals. We need to get ready.
