“The will have to leave so that we can fund our dream striker in the summer without violating FFP rules-Chelsea Owner Todd Boehly is set to Offload 4 Chelsea FLOPS this summer.
Expected departures from Chelsea include Romelu Lukaku, Ian Maatsen, Hakim Ziyech, and Armando Broja
Romalu Lukaku, Ian Maatsen, Hakim Ziyech, and Armando Broja are among the players Chelsea intends to cut this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano, with more departures still likely.
The first two years of the Todd Boehly tenure at Stamford Bridge have witnessed a significant player turnover. The Blues permanently signed twelve players last summer.
That required the club to sell a large number of players as well, and 14 of them left permanently.
Big stars like Kai Havertz and Mason Mount were among them, having joined Chelsea’s Premier League rivals for comparatively high sums of money.
It will take further significant exits for the team to stay on the right side of Financial FairPlay rules, since a large expenditure is once more said to be planned.
It has in fact been argued time and time that certain native playersāConor Gallagher being the most often mentionedāwill need to be traded in order for Chelsea to make a clean profit on the deal.
With no contract renewal in place yet, there is still talk of the Englishman perhaps leaving in the summer.
But transfer insider Romano has basically confirmed that four more guys would be leaving the team.
Chelsea will release players valued Ā£132 million
Indeed, he has disclosed that Lukaku and Maatsen, who are both on loan at the moment, would be joining Ziyech and Broja in departing; arrangements are already in place for the latter two to do so.
This summer, there will probably be exits at Chelsea, especially with the guys who are now on loan, Romano told Caught Offside.
According to earlier reports, Armando Broja will be sold as soon as he returns from his Fulham loan, while Hakim Ziyech may already be regarded as having played his final Chelsea game. Romelu Lukaku and Ian Maatsen are two more players I anticipate leaving Chelsea.ā
While Galatasaray’s duty to sign Ziyech will allegedly be triggered, Broja can apparently be purchased by Fulham, where he is now on loan, for a relatively modest amount, but it does not seem that will happen.
Regarding Lukaku and Maatsen, it is unclear where they will wind up; the former is rumoured to be joining the Saudi Pro League, while the latter want to stay at Borussia Dortmund but has other offers.
Possible more exits
Still, Romano has hinted that there are more Blues players to be moved, so the Chelsea departure could not end there.
We will have to watch and see what happens with the others, he added.
This implies that Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah, who are often rumoured to be moved on, still have uncertain futures.
