Chelsea has won their previous three Premier League home games without surrendering a goal, scoring 13 times.
They thrashed Everton 6-0 at Stamford Bridge before defeating Tottenham 2-0 and West Ham 5-0.
Chelsea now sits seventh in the Premier League rankings, two points behind sixth-place Newcastle United and four points behind fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea’s board has now apparently decided to issue a ‘ultimatum’ to Pochettino, informing him that he will maintain his job if the Blues qualify for the Europa League.
Chelsea’s sixth-place result is likely to be enough to secure their berth in the tournament for next season, unless Manchester United finishes seventh or lower and defeats Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
If Chelsea finishes sixth but United finishes seventh or below, with an FA Cup victory, the Blues will only qualify for the Europa Conference League.
Chelsea have a plethora of choices if they decide to fire Pochettino, and several names have previously been connected to the position.
According to Sky Bet, Jose Mourinho is the current frontrunner, ahead of Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim and Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi.
