Antony got a lot of bad press for what he did after Manchester United beat Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final.
On Sunday, Man United led Coventry City 3-0 at Wembley and looked like they would easily make it to the FA Cup final for the second year in a row.
But against all chances, the Championship team pulled off an amazing return that sent the game to extra time.
Nineteen minutes before the end of the game, Ellis Simms scored a goal to make it 1–1. Then, Callum O’Hare’s shot hit the post and in, cutting the lead to one.
Haji Wright finished off the comeback by scoring a controversial penalty in the fifth minute of extra time. This made the Coventry fans go crazy and sent the game to extra time.
The trouble didn’t end there, though. When Victor Torp scored past Andre Onana in the 121st minute, Mark Robins’ team thought they had pulled off one of the best comebacks in FA Cup history. However, VAR decided that Torp’s goal was not valid because he was slightly offside.
That game went all the way to penalties, which United won 4–2, even though Casemiro missed their first penalty kick.
Before Ben Sheaf’s shot went over the goal, Onana made a save on Callum O’Hare.
So Rasmus Hojlund had the chance to make sure United would play Manchester City in the final, and he did a great job.
When Hojlund’s penalty goal went in, most of United’s stars were very classy and went over to comfort their upset opponents right away.
