Former Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane is set to become the manager of this Premier League club
A new story says Zinedine Zidane is “one step away” from making a surprise comeback as a football manager.
After leaving Real Madrid in 2021, Zidane has not been a manager since.
The 51-year-old spent two different periods of time with Real Madrid. He has been mentioned with many other clubs, such as Manchester United, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain, but he hasn’t coached another team yet.
That might be about to change, though, because the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo says Zidane is almost ready to take over as boss of Bayern Munich from Thomas Tuchel.
After a poor domestic season, Tuchel will leave his job as Bayern manager at the end of the season. However, the former Chelsea manager could end his time at the club by winning the Champions League for the second time in his career.
The report from Mundo Deportivo also says that a deal with Zidane has not been signed yet because of “missed details.” The 51-year-old is also said to have asked for guarantees in the transfer market.

A lot of people have said that Zidane could replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United in the past few months.
Veteran Emmanuel Petit, who used to play with the star for Real, says that he has been learning English. There have also been rumors that he might take over at Liverpool from Jurgen Klopp.
So, Bayern’s interest seems to have come out of the blue. Reports say that the Bavarians were in talks with Julian Nagelsmann, who is currently coaching the Germany national team, about signing a three-year deal.
There was no chance of Nagelsmann going back to the Allianz Arena after being fired just over a year ago, though, because he signed a new deal with Germany that would keep him there until the 2026 World Cup.
Bavaria also wanted to hire Xabi Alonso, a former player, but the famous Liverpool player announced in public that he would stay with Bayer Leverkusen just before taking them to their first Bundesliga win.
