Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke got into a fight on the field during Chelsea’s rout of Everton, and Dele Alli called them “selfish.”

Everton was no match for Mauricio Pochettino’s team at Stamford Bridge on Monday night. Cole Palmer scored four goals, including a perfect hat-trick, in another great game.

Jackson and Blues youth graduate Alfie Gilchrist scored as well, continuing Chelsea’s good run of form. Everton, on the other hand, went back to Goodison Park empty-handed and down in spirit.

But Jackson and Madueke got into a strange fight after the home team was given a penalty in the second half, which took away from their great 6-0 win.

They fought about who should take the penalty kick, and neither would give in, even when Chelsea captain Conor Gallagher grabbed the ball and gave it to Palmer, who was supposed to take the kick.

Palmer scored a penalty kick that went past Jordan Pickford, tying him for the league lead in goals scored, but Jackson wouldn’t enjoy the goal.

This season, Dele hasn’t played for Everton because of personal and physical problems. He didn’t like Jackson or Madueke and said they “showed their age.”

“I think Pochettino will be very upset about it,” he said on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports. “What’s great about him is that he cares so much about players as people, and that’s kind of selfish of them.”

Players should want to score, which is fine, but they should do it during the game. If you don’t want to take the ball, just move away from it.

“When the pressure was on against Manchester United in the last minute, I didn’t see them do it.”

It’s clear that Mauricio doesn’t like it. They are still young, so they will learn from it.

The ex-England star also said, “This makes them look old.” They didn’t seem to want to take the big pressure penalty against United.

In an interview with Sky Sports after the game, Pochettino said he was furious about seeing two of his players fight on the field.

But he was happy with Chelsea’s “perfect” performance, which included Palmer’s hat-trick in the 29th minute of the first half.

Pochettino said, “We played some good games, but today I am happy with the effort. We got off to a great start.”

“We play differently against Sheffield United, and we talked about how we got better this week—today was the right game.”
