FIFA has announced VERY SAD news for Chelsea Star Conor Gallagher after Ignoring Black boy in the tunnel during the match between Chelsea Vs Burnley
The first black player for Chelsea, Paul Canoville, said he was sorry for sharing a video of Conor Gallagher that made the midfielder look racist.
The video shows an event that happened right before Chelsea’s Premier League game against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
Cole Palmer scored twice to put Chelsea ahead before the game ended 2-2. Gallagher was captaining Chelsea while Reece James was out, and he was seen in the hallway with two mascots before the game.
He accidentally left one of the kids, a black one, hanging as he reached out for a high five. After a video of the incident quickly went viral, Gallagher received a barrage of hate comments on his social media accounts.
Some fans even accused the England player of racism and ignoring the mascot on purpose. Chelsea’s official website posted a statement on Wednesday criticizing the “completely unacceptable” abuse Gallagher had been subjected to.
The club also said they were “proud” of their “diversity” and “inclusivity.” Mauricio Pochettino, on the other hand, said that the reaction Gallagher had faced made him sad. He also said that the media and football as a whole should work together to “support” people who are being treated badly in this way.
