Premier league Star have decided to Sign for Manchester City in the summer in shocking move

According to Fabrizio Romano, Lucas Paqueta has an £85 million release clause in his deal with West Ham United. Manchester City wants to sign him.

City has been trying to get Paqueta since last year and thinks the Brazilian would be a great addition to their team. Paqueta has been very important for the Hammers. In 37 games across all divisions, he has scored eight goals and set up seven others.

Paqueta has been an important player for David Moyes’ West Ham team since he joined in 2022. Several top European teams are interested in him because of how well he’s been playing, and the 26-year-old has also become a regular for Brazil. He has played 44 games for the Selecao so far, hitting 10 goals and setting up 4 others.

The summer before, Manchester City signed Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes. However, they were also linked with Paqueta. This summer, City could decide to go all out for him and pay his release option. The deal for Paqueta with West Ham lasts until the end of the 2026–27 season.

The game between Manchester City and Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on April 9 ended in a 3-3 draw. After the game, Rodri said he was tired and needed to rest.

Guardiola made it sound like he might be willing to rest Rodri before City’s April 13 Premier League home game against Luton Town. He said this on Man City’s website:

“A player won’t play if he doesn’t want to. There will be another game.
Guardiola also said:

“If you watch our games, you’ll see how important Rodri is to us because of the quality he brings.”
Guardiola also said that he would like to rest his center defenders other than Rodri, which hasn’t been possible because of the international breaks. As always, Rodri has been an important player for City. He has played in 41 games across all categories this season. He has helped set up 12 goals and scored 8 himself.
