Manchester United Manager Erig Ten Hag broke down in tears during after Press conference today as two Key player who’s suppose to be the main man against Bournemouth game Sustained a career ending injury in training– another big injury setback for Erig Ten Hag as player set to be out till next year
Manchester United’s Premier League game away at Bournemouth will be missing Scott McTominay, but Marcus Rashford might be able to play.
McTominay didn’t play in last week’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool, and Rashford had to leave in the second half because of an injury, but he trained on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday.
Erik ten Hag, the boss of the United team, told Scott, “I don’t think so.” “We have a training lesson tomorrow, so we have a day. He will push, he wants to be a part of it so badly, so it’s not a sure thing.”
“Then there’s Rashford. Rashy trained yesterday, so we’ll see how he recovered today. We have another training today, and then we’ll decide what to do.”
Raphael Varane is out for a few weeks, and Jonny Evans will miss the game against Bournemouth with a shorter-term illness. This means that United will be without six good defenders.
Willy Kambwala played his first full game at home against Liverpool. This was Ten Hag’s 26th different back four selection this season. Harry Maguire, Kambwala’s partner at center back, almost left United this summer when West Ham United took a £30 million deal, but he has had a good season and started all 21 games.
“You have to look at it that way,” Ten Hag said about West Ham’s desire to sign Maguire. “Hugh Maguire has always made us happy, but he wants to play.”
“He’s a great leader, a great defender, and a fan favorite with the ball.” Taking into account all of his skills, he is even more important to lead our defensive line right now, where we are having trouble, so we need to play from the back. So we’re glad he’s there because we need him to get our work done and reach our goals.
“Changing back four all the time is very hard.” So everyone who knows even a little about football knows that it will change your scores and how well you play. Getting success always starts with the back four. That wasn’t here.
“But we still need to win, that much we know. That means other people need to take responsibility, but you know that when you watch, it has a bad effect.”
This happened three days after United beat Chelsea 2-1 at home in December. They lost 3-0 to Bournemouth. Ten Hag said that United were “not mentally ready” for the game against Bournemouth.
Ten Hag said, “It was after a very good showing against Chelsea the week before.” “That game was not in our minds ready.” We were in fight with them, but we lost. They want to play that way, so tomorrow won’t be any different. They wish to fight with you.
“So you go into that fight with conviction and belief, and you need to help each other win battles, and you need to play better, run faster, and protect better to match the runs.”
