Shocking European Club have bidded £200m for Manchester United Midfielder Kobbie Mainoo and the proposal has been rejected by Manchester United as the player is not for Sell
According to a fresh rumor, one of Europe’s best teams is keeping a close eye on Kobbie Mainoo’s improvement at Manchester United and may make a move in the summer.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who has been a revelation since getting into Erik ten Hag’s first squad in November, extended his outstanding run of form with a stunning goal against Liverpool on Sunday.
His accomplishment has not gone unnoticed inside. Last month, it was claimed that Mainoo’s salary is likely to triple to £60,000 per week, with discussions underway to extend his contract until 2030.
However, with his worth growing, Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid is thought to be circling.
In reality, Los Blancos may make a move in the coming months to replace Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, both of whom might depart during the summer transfer window.
According to Spanish daily Don Diario, Madrid’s top scout Juni Calafat is a great admirer of Mainoo, and president Florentino Perez considers the player a “very fascinating” addition.
Calafat has been “combing the market” to locate a center midfielder capable of moving the ball into the final third, and they believe Mainoo meets that description.
The report also claims that Mainoo and Eduardo Camavinga have the same agents, which might be relevant in conversations.
As previously stated, Luka Modric’s and Toni Kroos’ contracts will expire this summer, with Kroos’ retirement following EURO 2024 in Germany a significant probability.
Meanwhile, Modric allegedly turned down the chance to prolong his 12-year stint at the Bernabeu.
