Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim is set to make a move for this Premier League club after loosing the Race against Sir Jim Ratcliffe to buy Manchester United
After attempting to purchase Manchester United last year, Qatari financier Sheikh Jassim may have another opportunity to invest in a big Premier League side following Tottenham’s announcement.
For much of 2023, he was the front candidate who everyone expected to take over at Old Trafford.
However, the Glazer family altered their views and authorized Sir Jim Ratcliffe to acquire a 25% stake in the team rather than selling the entire 100%.
Thus, Sheikh Jassim’s hefty £5 billion proposal to buy the franchise was turned down.
Tottenham might provide a second opportunity for the millionaire.
The billionaire may now have another opportunity to invest in a Premier League franchise.
According to the Express, Tottenham’s owner, Daniel Levy, has stated a desire to bring in a new investor.
Spurs announced record-breaking fiscal year 2022-2023 results. The club’s revenue at their new stadium reached half a billion pounds for the first time in history.
It climbed by 24% from the previous year’s £444 million to £549.6 million.
