Mourinho makes it a point to A dig by Manchester United that sheds light on his job: “I wasn’t the coach”

During his time as manager of Manchester United, Jose Mourinho hinted that there were problems going on behind the scenes by saying that the club gave him too many tasks to do.

Mourinho led United from May 2016 to December 2018. In his first season, they won the Carabao Cup and the Europa League. In 144 games as manager, he won 84 of them. During his two full seasons, he led them to sixth and second place in the Premier League.

The Portuguese manager was very critical of United for not being able to get the players he wanted in the summer transfer window, which was before the 2018–19 season began. His team lost badly to Liverpool 3-1, which put them 19 points behind the league leaders and 11 points behind the top four. This led to his firing.

By that time, many players had lost faith in him because of how rude he was, and Mourinho has now said that he was never happy with how things were set up at United. In an interview with Fabrizio Romano, he talked about his dream situation at a possible new club and said that he wanted to return to management after being fired by Roma in January.

“I always give my all to my club. Fans don’t matter. It doesn’t matter what country or club it is. They must know that I’ll give everything to them. “I’ll always be more than a coach because of who I am,” he said.

“People know that in some club structures, you have to be the coach, the technical director, the marketing director, and the face of the club and the players. But that’s also something the boss doesn’t like.

“Because I want to be a coach myself.” If the club is set up in a way that lets the coach be the coach on the floor, in the locker room, during practices and while watching games, that would be ideal. Be the coach, though.

“I was Inter’s coach.” I was Real Madrid’s coach. When I first worked at Chelsea, I was the coach. It was my job to coach at Porto. In some other clubs, I wasn’t the coach, which is tough for a coach. But I think the most important thing for the fans of every football club I’ve worked for is that they see me come, I wear the shirt, and I fight for them.

The 61-year-old was fired by Roma in January and still doesn’t have a club, even though Saudi Arabia has offered to hire him. When asked if he would work for a Saudi Pro League club, he said he wouldn’t say no, but he was more than happy to wait and find the right job.
