The former Manchester United defender’s decision opens up new possibilities, as he is now eligible to compete for DR Congo in the qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Tuanzebe decided to join the DR Congo national team as his chances of representing England were no longer plausible.

Despite his previous experience with England’s minor teams, he is now determined to make an impression for his new national squad.

He will currently play for manager Sebastien Desabre.
