“You can’t believe what Lingard did at his New club that shocked the fans. Was that mearnt to happen?”-FC Seoul manager exposes Jesse Lingard with brutal warning after three games for new club.

The FC Seoul manager has delivered a strong message to Jesse Lingard, the former Manchester United player, cautioning him after his initial outings for the South Korean K League 1 team.

Lingard’s transfer to FC Seoul in February sparked immense anticipation among the club’s fans, resulting in a surge of supporters purchasing his merchandise before his debut match against Inchon. This fixture broke attendance records, drawing 51,670 spectators to the stadium. Despite the hype, Lingard’s performance was limited to 30 minutes in a goalless draw.

In subsequent games, Lingard contributed to FC Seoul’s victory over Jeju and adhered to the team’s post-match rituals. However, his lack of recent playing time has understandably affected his match fitness.

Manager Kim Gi-dong expressed disappointment with Lingard’s efforts on the field, highlighting his reluctance to engage in physical challenges despite his brief appearances. Kim stressed that fame alone is insufficient to secure victories, emphasizing the importance of hard work during matches.

While recognizing Lingard’s past achievements, Kim urged him to deliver better performances and assured him of the club’s support in his development.

FC Seoul is currently positioned seventh in the K League standings, and Lingard is yet to secure a starting spot. However, upcoming fixtures, including a potential start against Gangwon, may provide him with an opportunity to showcase his abilities.
