“He has the quality to become the best in the Premier League than Kevin De Bruyne and Haaland, if he keeps playing this way he will win the player of the season”
Bacary Sagna, a defender who used to play for Arsenal and Manchester City, thinks that Malo Gusto, a right back for Chelsea, could become the best right back in the Premier League.
Chelsea bought Gusto from Lyon for £26.3 million a little over a year ago. The 20-year-old has played more than expected this season because Reece James has been hurt.
In the last few weeks, Gusto has been one of Chelsea’s best players, and Sagna thinks the French defender can become the best in the Premier League at his position.
Manolo Gusto and Reece James will have to fight for the right back spot, which is good for Chelsea, Sagna told Paddy Power.
“Gusto moves quickly and is good at one-on-ones.” He did well at Lyon, and I’m not surprised that he’s doing so well at Chelsea. He has all the skills to be a key player.
At the time, Chelsea is rebuilding. Gusto has been doing well, but he can do even better in the years to come.
It’s possible for him to become the best right back in the Premier League if he plays like this all season.

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, said last week that Gusto is quickly becoming an important player for his team.
Pochettino said, “The plan for Malo Gusto was that of a 19-year-old player who had come from another league, France, and there were times when a young kid needed time.”
But it’s true that he played before we thought because he was hurt. He had to do well right away while getting used to living in a different country, the Premier League, and the club.
Malcolm has been hurt a lot, which is why we’ve sometimes played with Alfie Gilchrist or Axel Disasi in that spot. It’s not a surprise, though, that the new guys need time.
He got hurt, played, and then got hurt again, but after eight or nine months, we’re starting to see what we thought he would do.
“I hope that he can now be consistent if he plays often and start to show how good he is.”
He is a player who is very good at striking and going forward.
“It’s really good going forward, like the cross against Brentford.” He needs to get better at other things, and I’m sure he will over time. The way he acts and does his job makes me very happy.
