The referee who blew against Manchester United in their match against Liverpool has been given some unfortunate news, as reported by Fabrizio Romano The whole thing and the referee is a complete joke! šŸ˜šŸ˜

During the recent Manchester United versus Liverpool match, Bruno Fernandes, the team’s captain, narrowly dodged a potential red card following a tackle on Dominik Szoboszlai. Lee Dixon, providing commentary during the game, shared insights into why Fernandes escaped a second yellow card for the incident.

Despite Fernandes’ earlier caution, Dixon argued against a straight red card, citing similar occurrences on the field. While acknowledging Fernandes’ stroke of luck, Dixon highlighted the absence of VAR intervention in this instance. He speculated that had the tackle occurred elsewhere without Fernandes’ prior booking, a yellow card would have been inevitable.

Dixon also suggested that if the incident happened on the halfway line, the referee might have opted for a warning instead.
