£50m Chelsea player is not anticipated to be named to the England squad later today.
Gareth Southgate will unveil his England squad later today, and it is expected to contain a few Chelsea players.
Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher have been particularly impressive this season, with the former scoring in Chelsea’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle United on Monday.
However, The Telegraph reports that Raheem Sterling is unlikely to be picked to England’s squad for this month’s games against Brazil and Belgium.
Sterling has not played for his country since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and it appears that he may miss out on the Euros.
Ben Chilwell will also be absent from Southgate’s team after suffering another injury. Journalist Simon Phillips recently provided an update on the left-back’s knee injury.
Raheem Sterling is not expected to be chosen in the England team.
Sterling’s form has been inconsistent this season. He was benched for Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Brentford in early March, however he started and scored in the previous Premier League game against former club Manchester City.
His previous goal in the top division came in November, demonstrating the 29-year-old’s uneven performance.

Given this, it’s reasonable if Southgate decides to leave Sterling out of England’s upcoming games.
The winger now needs a strong end to the season to have any chance of making the Euros and potentially saving his Chelsea career.
The former City player, who signed for the Blues for £50 million in 2022, is expected to be moved this summer.
Should Sterling leave Stamford Bridge, Chelsea might replace him with Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams. The Spain international is being linked with a move to West London. He has three goals and seven assists in 23 league appearances this season.
