Stamford Bridge – Chelsea 247
Chelsea held on to win 3-2 over Newcastle United in their thrilling match on Monday (March 11), extending their league unbeaten streak to four games. Fans reacted as the Blues maintained their impressive home record against Newcastle United, who have won just one Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues came into the game after a poor 2-2 draw against Brentford in the West London Derby. They had nine days to prepare for the encounter against the Magpies, who defeated them 4-1 in the previous meeting in November.

Newcastle started the game strongly, but it was the home team who broke the deadlock in the sixth minute, their first goal in almost six years.

The Magpies finished the half strong, scoring in the 43rd minute to equalise the score.Chelsea demonstrated excellent poise and quality in the second half, scoring two before their opponents grabbed one back late on. The victory alleviated some of the mounting pressure on manager Mauricio Pochettino, whose tactics have recently been criticised.

On X, their followers responded to the performance in a variety of ways.

“Somehow we got lucky”

“Cole Palmer is the best u21 player in the league.”

@BetBIG_gg: The Blues are improving and should finish in the top half of the table easily. 😛

@Bewhatyoubebro: Pochettino should never bench Mudryk again.

@LawalOlabisi4: We got it in the end. ???????????? Up the chels!

@RaffaRants: Well done, but do not try that again, especially in the last 7 minutes???

@seunbayo89: Pochettino cannot be a long-term coach for us.

Despite the win, Chelsea remains in 11th position, having played one fewer game than the teams above and around them. They are four points behind seventh-place West Ham United and will meet Championship side Leicester City in the FA Cup semifinals on Sunday, March 17.
