Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has stated that Jack Grealish will not be able to play in their match against Manchester United on March 3.

The City fans are excited to play their cross-city foes at the Etihad Stadium in a Premier League match, but Grealish will not be able to play. The midfielder got hurt during City’s 6-2 win over Luton Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup last week and had to be taken off in the 38th minute.

At the news conference before the Manchester derby, Guardiola said that Grealish hurt his hamstring, as reported by Fabrizio Romano:

It looks like Jack Grealish won’t be able to play this weekend. He’s not there. I have no idea when he will return.

When asked if Grealish would be available for England’s future games during the March international break, Guardiola said:

“No. There’s something I need to talk to Gareth Southgate about because I don’t think he will be able to play. He needs to get better quickly. He has been hurt and needs to get better quickly so we can use him as much as possible.

The fact that Grealish had to leave the Luton Town game early made him look unhappy. Guardiola said something about what was going on:
