Nicolas Jackson gave the Blues the lead on 35 minutes with a superb header after squandering a clear chance. However, Chelsea had another sluggish start to the half, conceding seconds after the second period began.

Djordje Petrovic got the nod over Robert Sanchez. Early on, he had a nervous moment when he caught the ball on the edge of the box, which infuriated Brentford fans. To be honest, there wasn’t much he could do to achieve the goal. 6.
Trevoh Chalobah has made back-to-back starts for the first time since May of last year. Looked solid. I believe a three-back setup best suits his ability. 6.
Axel Disasi – Brentford’s goal was disappointing. He was so slow to react that he didn’t notice Roerslev was following him. It ultimately costs Chelsea a goal. However, he somewhat redeems himself with a key header near the end. 6.
Levi Colwill – His defence was not at its finest. He has been caught off guard a few times, but what he gives you in possession more than compensates. I prefer him on the left side of a three. 6.
Malo gusto – Gusto’s job today is slightly different, as he is playing higher up the pitch. Jackson scored thanks to a wonderful cross. This youngster looks gorgeous no matter where he plays. 7.
Enzo Fernandez – It was a quiet one for Enzo. He wasn’t able to get as involved in the game as he would have liked, so he couldn’t determine how it went. 5.
Moises Caicedo made some good interceptions and tackles, but he gave up much too much possession. 5.
Conor Gallagher – A little quieter than usual. Trying to make things happen, but maybe a little too hard, and he was pushing it. Not disastrous, but also not spectacular. 6.
Ben Chilwell – Played left wing-back on numerous occasions under Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter. I believe it suits him better, but he was unable to make much of an impact on the contest. 6.
Cole Palmer – Misses a huge opportunity on 60 minutes following some excellent work by Gusto. Strikes it wide when he has the entire goal to go at. It appears like he really needs a goal. But even on a terrible day, he comes up with a critical assist for Disasi’s late equaliser, which increases his score. 6.
Nicolas Jackson – After missing a tremendous opportunity, he made amends with a stunning header just five minutes later. He leaps over everyone else and steers his header into the corner. Aside than that, things are quite quiet. 7.
