Former Man City Star Sergio Aguero will start training with former team this week ahead of stunning football return
Reports say that Sergio Aguero will start working with his old team to get ready for a possible return to football.
Not long after going from Manchester City to Barcelona in 2021, Aguero said he was quitting football.
Aguero was taken to the hospital because he was having chest problems during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Deportivo de Alaves.
When doctors found out the Argentine had a heart arrhythmia, they told him to stop playing the sport.
Mundo Deportivo says that Sergio Aguero himself gave them a recording from his doctor that said the famous Manchester City player might come back to the game.
“The way things are going now, you should be able to play at some point.” To be fair, we should test you and make you run like it’s a game. It’s true that when you have two centre defenders, you need to be ready to fake or something. It’s not all bad news, though; the doctor told Aguero, “Get ready, there is some hope.”
When it was reported that Aguero might play for a while, he was asked if he would go back to his old team, Independiente, which is coached by Carlos Tevez.
“What do you expect me to do if Carlitos [Tevez, manager of Independiente] calls me?” he asked.
The heart doctor also said, “We can say that you’re doing great and that you need to get in shape for a few minutes.” But I see that you look good, that you’re doing everything, and that you didn’t have any problems. Even though he has been sick, Sergio Aguero has played in Gerard Pique’s seven-a-side Kings League.
It hurt Aguero’s chest in the 41st minute of his first game for Barcelona, which was against Alaves in 2021.
Before halftime, he even needed emergency help on the field. After being told to rest, Aguero, who is 35 years old, decided to quit football for good.
At a news meeting in December 2021, Aguero said he was retiring.
A hurt Aguero said at the time, “My health comes first.” The doctors have told me it’s best for me to stop playing, so I’m leaving Barcelona and no longer playing professional football.
