Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola responds to Wayne Rooney’s comments about being a Man City coach

Wayne Rooney said some things about Pep Guardiola being the coach of Manchester City.
Wayne Rooney recently said that he would be willing to become Manchester City’s assistant coach if given the chance. Pep Guardiola responded to Rooney’s statements.

A few weeks ago, on Stick To Football, Rooney said that he would be interested in working for Guardiola as a teacher at City.

Now, though, the Spanish player has said what he thought about what the former Manchester United star said.

When asked about Rooney’s comments that he might be interested in becoming a coach at the Etihad Stadium, Guardiola said the following at Friday’s news conference.

He told him, “He’s welcome to come any time.” He’s important for our city, but he’s a Red Devil and a United fan. It’s nice for all of us, though.

MORE MAN CITY STORIES “Wayne Rooney is one of the best football players in English history, so it’s nice when he says nice things about all of us.” His work over that many years leads to what he said. He understands. He was with United.

Is that Wayne Rooney? He won one Premier League. I don’t believe that. He got a lot of wins. That means he knows how hard it is to be there, which is why he knows how hard it is.

Guardiola has done a great job at City, and Rooney’s offer to join the coaching staff shows how much he respects and values that work.

There’s no doubt that Rooney knows how to fight at a high level because he had so much success at United as a player.

However, the former England captain was fired from his last job as manager of Birmingham City after only 15 games, with only two wins. Based on this, we don’t think that he would be a great addition to Guardiola’s coaching team.
