Furious Bruno Fernandes was FUMING with the Referee Michael Oliver following Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Fulham at Old Trafford! After Rough Decision that favoured Fullham🤬.
After Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Fulham, referee Michael Oliver overheard Bruno Fernandes and his teammates arguing.
After Calvin Bassey broke the deadlock in the 65th minute, United fell behind. In the final minute of normal time, Harry Maguire looked to have salvaged a point. Fulham secured an unforgettable victory in the seventh minute of injury time thanks to a stunning goal scored by Alex Iwobi.
When everything calmed down, Oliver and Fernandes continued their lively conversation. The United captain cut a frustrated figure as he spoke with Oliver and his team for a brief period in front of Erik ten Hag before eventually walking off in anger.
Despite Fernandes’ apparent anger with the officials, Ten Hag had no complaints about the officiating when he spoke to BBC Sport post-match. Rather than celebrating Iwobi’s last-second goal, the Dutchman lamented the error his team made.
Fulham had the ball in the corner, we were pressing them, and one of our players was in the wrong place, he explained. It is our collective responsibility to oversee that and ensure that everyone is doing their part. It is preventable because we allowed them to escape.
We showed tremendous character by fighting back; we were rightfully awarded the equaliser; and we went all out to win. I made that error. Prior to that, we should have capitalised on our chances and aimed for victory.
The defeat has struck a big blow in Manchester United’s prospects of qualifying for Europe next season and left them eight points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. After the game, an open and honest Harry Maguire said that United could have won by doing more.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes talking to match officials after the Premier League match with Fulham
He said: “Overall on the balance of play we didn’t do enough in the first 60 minutes or so, we started the game not great. The first half was relatively even, but when you’re not playing at your best you have to perform the basics correctly and set pieces is part of that.
“We thought they would present us a threat from those areas and they’ve scored early in the second from what we knew – so that’s unfortunate on that side. To be a goal behind, I thought our recovery was outstanding especially in the last 30 minutes and when we equalised obviously only one team going to win it.
“We were certainly foolish in the end by throwing too many bodies forward and getting done on the counterattack. We’ve been on a terrific run of form and coming into the game we were confident.”
