A warning to the Manchester United star who is worth £85 million, Erik ten Hag says, “He has to prove a point.” He really need to prove a point cos what he played against fullham wasn’t football.. We didn’t expect him to play what he played today..

Following a lackluster stint at Old Trafford, the manager of Manchester United has issued a stern warning to Brazilian winger Antony, emphasizing the need for him to prove himself.

The 24-year-old arrived at Manchester United from Ajax in a high-profile transfer at the start of the previous season, with manager Erik ten Hag viewing him as a solution to the team’s attacking woes.

However, it’s evident that Antony has yet to live up to the lofty expectations placed upon him, struggling to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup despite being with the club for a season and a half.

With Antony failing to make a single Premier League start since December, Ten Hag’s focus seems to be shifting away from him, emphasizing the necessity for the winger to showcase his abilities on the pitch.

“He needs to demonstrate his capabilities. He possesses considerable potential, but he hasn’t showcased it recently. Nonetheless, I am aware of his talent, and he needs to demonstrate it,” stated the Dutch manager, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Acknowledging Antony’s potential, Ten Hag hinted at providing him with opportunities but stressed the importance of performance.

As young talents like Amad Diallo show progress in training after returning from injury, Ten Hag cautioned that Antony will face increased competition for his position.

In the recent match against Fulham, another promising young player, Omari Forson, earned his first start in the attacking lineup, signaling the depth of talent vying for opportunities at Manchester United.
