Before his contract with Celtic ends in the summer, the veteran goalkeeper will turn 37 years old. He has had a great career spanning over 20 years, playing 690 games for 10 different clubs. He played 75 times for England and helped Manchester City win two Premier League titles. In four different seasons, he won the famous Golden Glove award for keeping the most clean sheets.

Hart’s football career began at Shrewsbury Town, the team he played for as a kid. In April 2004, he made his senior appearance there. After that, he went to Manchester City and became one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, playing 348 times. Before he moved to Burnley for good in 2018, he had played for Torino and West Ham United. Before moving to Celtic in 2021, he played for Tottenham Hotspur for a short time. There, he continued to show off his goalkeeping skills.

Hart said, “Going forward, I’m not going to play professional football after June.” “I’ve been thinking about this for a while.” The way this club works right now means there’s a lot on it, but there is no right or wrong time. As a football club, everything we do, from the big picture to the fans and the talks that happen around it, is done with a lot of heart and soul.
According to Brendan Rodgers and Stevie Woods, the goalie coach, there is talk about who will play goalkeeper next season. I thought it was important to get the word out with the club’s approval and after talking to them. This takes away something that people will have to guess about.
Hart then said, “Physically, I feel great.” Playing football since I was 16 years old, I’ve done the best I can for my age and the damage I’ve done to my body. This is where I am right now: I’ve done everything I can to stay in the best shape possible and be ready to give it my all on game day. I really do peak on game day, but I know that time doesn’t wait for anyone, and I don’t want my body to be taking me out. That was one of the main reasons I made my choice.
