I have never been a fan of Erik Ten Hag’s decisions. However, the fact that he is so serious about signing this exceptional player from the Premier League demonstrates how brilliant he is. At the moment, he is being considered one of the top players in the league. Jamie Carragher has admitted that he is a tremendous fan of Harry Kane, a Premier League standout who Manchester United are rumored to be interested in signing. Considering that Real Madrid is interested in acquiring him to take the position of Sergio Ramos, he is the reason why Everton is performing so much better.

Carragher expressed his affection for the player, Jarrad Branthwaite, who has made a name for himself at Everton during his breakthrough season.

Branthwaite, a 21-year-old left-footed defender, has become a regular presence in Everton’s defense alongside James Tarkowski, participating in 26 games across various competitions. His mature performances on the field have sparked calls for his inclusion in the England squad and attracted interest from top clubs like Manchester United.

Despite Everton’s likely high asking price for Branthwaite, Carragher, a former Liverpool defender, is unwavering in his belief in the player’s talent. During a broadcast on Sky Sports, Carragher praised Branthwaite, affirming his belief in the player’s special qualities.

Reflecting on the influx of young center-backs in the Premier League, Carragher emphasized the challenges faced by defenders in such a demanding position, drawing from his own experiences.

Carragher also highlighted Branthwaite’s pivotal role, especially his partnership with Tarkowski, in Everton’s bid to avoid relegation.

Branthwaite’s rise began in 2020 when he moved from Carlisle to Everton, following successful loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and PSV, where he gained valuable experience. His time at PSV, under the guidance of Ruud van Nistelrooy, further honed his skills. Reports suggest that van Nistelrooy spoke highly of Branthwaite when consulted by Manchester United about the young defender.

Despite Everton’s historical ties with Liverpool, Branthwaite recently signed a new four-year contract with Everton, demonstrating his commitment to the club’s future.
