Cole Palmer was all smiles on his return to Manchester City before of their Premier League match against the midfielder’s current side, Chelsea.

Palmer, 21, came through City’s youth and spent nearly a decade with the club before joining Chelsea during the summer transfer window. He’s been a revelation since leaving City for the Blues, with 14 goals and nine assists in 31 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Unsurprisingly, Palmer started for Chelsea in Saturday evening’s intriguing showdown against the Premier League winners, and he was greeted by many of his former teammates in the tunnel.

Several City players, including Rodri, Kyle Walker, and Erling Haaland, shook hands with Palmer, who was delighted to engage in such an exchange. Other Premier League players have been chastised for similar behaviour, however.
