Marcus Rashford talks up about Erik ten Hag’s impact and admits that Man Utd is leaving.

With a new contract in hand at Old Trafford, Marcus Rashford is looking to improve on a career-best season with Manchester United and has shared his thoughts on Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag.

Prior to Erik ten Hag taking over as manager of Manchester United, Marcus Rashford has acknowledged that he thought about leaving the team.
In Ten Hag’s first season as manager, Rashford scored a career-high thirty goals. Earlier this month, he inked a new five-year contract. Last summer, things were very different. Rashford had just finished an injury-plagued season in which he scored just five goals, and his confidence and form were at an all-time low.
At his lowest point, Rashford, 25, acknowledged that it was a serious possibility for him to leave his boyhood club. His representatives have already had discussions with Paris St. Germain. After Ten Hag arrived, though, Rashford had his best season at Old Trafford thanks to the Dutchman’s man-management.

Rashford responded, “Before the manager came, maybe a little bit, but it’s football, it happens,” when asked if he had ever considered quitting United. He came to the club at the perfect time for me; everything happens for a purpose. The timing was perfect.

The manager is obviously highly ambitious and has been since the moment he took over, so the conversation has changed a little bit now. That was not actually something I was unsure of.

“I’m hungry to keep getting better, for the staff and players to keep becoming better and acclimated to one another, pushing ourselves to be better than we were the previous year. In the end, that’s the only way we can return to regularly winning trophies.
