Chelsea’s next manager: Jose Mourinho is the favourite to take over from Pochettino – walexsports.com
Jose Mourinho is one of the top options to take over as manager of Chelsea after Pochettino.

With Mauricio Pochettino’s job in danger, Jose Mourinho is one of the favourites to take over as Chelsea’s next boss.

On Sunday, Chelsea lost 4–2 at home to Wolves. It was their 10th loss in the Premier League this season. Pochettino’s team is now 11th in the table, closer to the bottom than to fourth place.

The players for Chelsea were booed off the field at halftime and at the end of the game. During the loss to Wolves, fans at Stamford Bridge could be heard screaming the names of Roman Abramovich and Mourinho.

After his team lost on Sunday, Pochettino was asked again about his long-term future at Chelsea. The Argentine manager apologised to the fans for his team’s recent performance.

Since there has been more talk about Pochettino’s job, BonusCodeBets has updated their odds on who could take over as Chelsea boss from the Argentine.

Early odds put Girona head coach Michel Sanchez as the favourite at 6/4. His team is two points behind Real Madrid in La Liga right now.

Roberto De Zerbi, the manager of Brighton, is also being looked at by Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp said he would be leaving Anfield at the end of the season. He is the second-best odds (3/1) to replace Pochettino.

Mourinho might be interested in a third time as Chelsea boss since he is currently free after being fired by Roma last month. The odds on this 61-year-old man taking over from Pochettino are 4/1.

The people in charge at Chelsea are going to find it hard to sign Xabi Alonso because he is currently leading Bayer Leverkusen to the Bundesliga title, and his team is two points ahead of Bayern Munich. The playmaker who used to play for Liverpool and Real Madrid is a 5/1 shot to move to Stamford Bridge.

Zinedine Zidane is available right away and is priced at 6/1. He will be free after leaving Real Madrid in May 2021, so Chelsea has another choice.

Xavi has already said that he will be leaving Barcelona at the end of the season. He is 8/1 to become Chelsea’s next manager after Pochettino.

Last year, Chelsea was interested in Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim. The 39-year-old is now 10/1 to take over at Stamford Bridge.
