Chelsea Manager Mouricio Pochettino has been Sacked this Morning in shocking scene after losing to 4:2 to Wolves

The wife of Chelsea defender Thiago Silva appeared to have urged for Mauricio Pochettino’s dismissal following the west Londoners’ 4-2 defeat to Wolves on Sunday.

After losing 4-1 at Anfield in midweek, the Blues needed to rebound at Stamford Bridge, and they got off to a strong start as Cole Palmer put the team ahead early on.

However, the lead did not last long, as Matheus Cunha equalised minutes later, and an own goal by Axel Disasi shortly before the break saw the visitors take a narrow lead into halftime.

Chelsea’s players were booed down the tunnel at half-time, and things only got worse after the restart, with Cunha scoring twice more for his first Premier League hat-trick.

Thiago Silva did score a late goal from a corner, but by then, many spectators had left the stadium, and those who remained were shouting their grievances.

Some supporters yelled previous owner Roman Abramovich’s name, while others joined Wolves fans in singing ‘You’re s**t and you know you are,’ and there was even more booing and jeering after the full-time whistle blew.

And it looks that Chelsea fans are not the only ones who have turned on Pochettino and the team, with Thiago Silva’s outspoken wife Belle appearing to push for a management change.

Belle tweeted on social networking platform X just before becoming full-time, ‘It’s time to change. “If you wait any longer, it will be too late.”

Chelsea fans interpreted Belle’s comment as a reference to Pochettino, with famed fan Frank Khalid responding: ‘I’d prefer you to manage Chelsea!’

There appeared to be widespread support for her statement, while others questioned the professionalism of a current player’s wife publicly criticising the manager.

It is not the first time Belle Silva has turned to social media to criticise Chelsea or a past manager, having slammed the team last season while they were still led by Graham Potter.

In January of last year, she tweeted: ‘If there was a Thiago Silva in attack and one in midfield, with what we already have in defence.’

Chelsea now sits 11th in the Premier League table, 15 points behind Aston Villa, who are currently in fourth position and hold the final automatic Champions League slot.

Chelsea’s big spending over the last 18 months is thought to have been motivated by a desire to finish in the top four, or at least in Europe, but it appears to be a tall order right now.
