Mark Schwarzer has told Chelsea that they shouldn’t sell Conor Gallagher before the end of the January transfer window.

Chelsea played Middlesbrough in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday night. Gallagher started on the bench but came on as a replacement in the second half and helped Mauricio Pochettino’s team win 6-1, securing their spot in the final at Wembley next month.
Tottenham is interested in Gallagher, and Schwarzer, a former Chelsea custodian, thinks Pochettino’s team would take a “big hit” if they sold him.
“I think even more now because of how many changes Chelsea have had at this club,” Schwarzer told Sky Sports about how important it was to keep Gallagher after Chelsea beat Middlesbrough.

“Mason Mount was another one. I know things haven’t gone as planned for him at Manchester United yet, but it would have been great to see him still here. I think he would have been an important player for this club, but money and rules got in the way.”
“I do not believe they have anyone else who can play like Conor Gallagher does. It would be a huge loss for them.” However, I believe that they can’t make all of these choices because of the choices they’ve made in the past 12 to 18 months.
Coach Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who used to play striker for Chelsea and now coaches Gallagher with England’s national team, also told the club not to sell the player before the transfer deadline next week.
“He loves Chelsea and doesn’t seem to want to leave. I wouldn’t want to see him leave either,” It was Hasselbaink.
“I do agree. The way he trains with England is the same as the way he trains with Chelsea. He’s always going to give you his all.
“I thought he wouldn’t play today because Chelsea needed to be more offensive, but I think they’re also saving him for Friday.”
“Please don’t leave.” I know about FFP, the rules, and all that, but I really want him to stay.
