Erling Haaland, a Manchester City striker, has expressed his desire to return to the pitch.

The centre-forward has been sidelined with an ankle injury since December, missing five Premier League games as well as both of City’s FIFA Club World Cup matches.

With the Manchester club having a good night in Dubai at the Globe Soccer Awards, Haaland was able to speak out about his injury and how much he is looking forward to returning to the pitch.

Haaland is desperate for the city’s return.

After being awarded the greatest men’s player in 2023 by the Globe Soccer Awards, Haaland spoke about City and his eventual return to action.

He stated: “Manchester City is a terrific club, and I enjoy being here. I want to be back from injury soon; I’m growing weary of not playing.”

City signed the Norwegian from Borussia Dortmund for £51 million during the summer transfer window of 2022.

Haaland went on to have a somewhat successful debut season in Manchester, scoring 52 goals in 53 appearances and winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.

After scoring 19 goals in 22 games this season, it’s clear why the striker is keen to restore full fitness and assist his team reclaim the prizes they won last season.

Last weekend, Pep Guardiola said that the Norwegian international had suffered a minor setback in his recuperation and will most likely return to full health by the end of the month.

Given how vital Haaland’s goals have been since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium, it’s easy to assume that his return to play will provide Guardiola’s team a significant boost in their prospects of winning additional titles.
