Manchester City Player had just left Ethihad Stadium this afternoon to join West Ham after rejecting a move to Juventus

Sky Sports News reports that West Ham is in talks to sign a £45 million deal. It is said that West Ham United is in talks to sign Kalvin Phillips, a playmaker for Manchester City.

Some people think the English player could leave Manchester United because he doesn’t play much for Pep Guardiola’s team.

Now that Newcastle United and Juventus have been linked to the player, another team has made an offer to sign him.

West Ham is trying to sign Phillips.

News from Sky Sports says that the two teams are currently talking about the terms of a possible deal for Phillips.

West Ham allegedly made a £55 million offer to Leeds United in January 2022 to sign Phillips, but the offer was turned down.

MORE STORIES ABOUT MAN CITY
It’s clear why the Hammers want to get him this time.

The England player joined City for £45 million in the summer of 2022 and has since played 31 times for the Citizens in all tournaments, but he has only started six of those games.

Given that Guardiola said in December that he has trouble picturing Phillips in his dream City team, it’s easy to see why the 27-year-old could be leaving in January.

If West Ham does manage to get Phillips, they will have to make sure they agree to and follow through with these terms. The player wants to play regularly, and City is said to be looking to get a £7m loan fee.

Looking ahead to the rest of the January transfer window, it would be best for everyone if a club could make a deal with City to get Phillips off their hands this month and give him the minutes he needs to keep his spot in the England squad for the Euros.
