“I have a lot of things to say and I have to say it out. I can’t hide it anymore. Media call me a flop and injury prone and I don’t care if they terminate my Contract just like dey did to Lukaku and Ziyech”-Chelsea INJURY PRONE Christopher Nkunku speaks out Pochettino rumours in defiant post-match interview
Chelsea captain Reece James has posted a message on Instagram as he recovers from a hamstring injury. The 24-year-old last appeared for the Blues on December 10th, when he played 27 minutes against Everton.
The Blues’ medical staff deliberated for some time before deciding that surgery was the best option for James, who has been plagued by injuries for the past two years. It may be a few months before the Cobham graduate returns to the field, but he is already training hard behind the scenes to return stronger than ever.
On Monday afternoon, James took to social media to publish a photo of himself in the gym, dressed in Chelsea training gear. He wrote next to the photo, “On the mend.” I hope and wish you all the best.”
This isn’t the first time James has sent a message to his fans. He said on Instagram shortly after his surgery, “The footballing world knew I got injured, but the procedure I would go down this time took slightly longer to figure out the best solution.”
“I had surgery today to try to fix my recurring hamstring problem; the recovery process has begun, both physically and mentally.” Since my injuries, I’ve received a lot of love, but also a lot of hate and vitriol.
“Believe me, I don’t want to get hurt; I’m the happiest when I’m playing football.” It goes a long way thanks to the understanding folks that support me through the highs and lows. Reece, take care.”
Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino has employed Malo Gusto and Axel Disasi in lieu of James this season, with the duo doing brilliantly. Last month, when asked about James, Pochettino remarked, “I think he feels well.” We were conversing, and he mentioned that he had begun his recuperation, and that he was one day closer to rejoining the group.
“This is really positive; we’re all positive around him; we’re going to help, and we’re going to be involved in this way.” It is usually difficult for a player who has had a terrible season. Now is the time to begin the healing process. One day less till he becomes a member of the group, which we will see positively.
“The most important thing is to start to solve the problem and of course, helping him to be strong, being positive, because it is an important thing and that is why this amazing institute that the club has to support in that case for Reece to be in his best form and recover as soon as possible.”
